It’s beautiful, I always loved this song.

  2. ShinjiPG says:

    Remix, huh.

  3. ^Okay, okay, so it may not have a huge diparaging sound in parallel to the original, but its still an incredible and emotionally fervent song, I personally don’t feel she need to change a thing about it, and hopefully this new tie-in will help keep HEART STATION’S sales steady 2 the platinum mark thru the last 10 weeks of the year (I hope she eventually decides to make a CD re-cut of it, I think it’d sell really well w/out being featured on an upcoming full-length)…
Also, HEART STATION’s gonna be tied-in w/ the 2009 film,The New Record of Nobita: Spaceblazer based on the popular anime and manga series, Doraemon! I think that’s really cool how all her singles have that timeless appeal tus far…

i’m trying to hear a difference..

  5. chocolateislove says:

I can hear the new vocals. In the older version she went higher and it kind of strained her voice, but her voice sounded higher in general. In the new version her voice sounds deeper. Also, there’s more of a sweeping string arrangement I think. Yeah, the instrumentals are a lot more complex in this version.

  6. chocolateislove says:

I like the song much better now. I felt like the old version was way too typical as a piano ballad, and this updated version really brings out Utada’s flavor. Yeah, that’s all I wanted to say.

  7. Xcapist says:

darn it, how come i cant listen to it!!!

  8. barried says:

Yea. HEART STATION will be the ending of 2009 Doraemon movie.

  9. kongo89 says:

Oh, yeah, there’s definitely a difference. A bit subtle, but still substantial (how odd? I know…). I really like this take for some reason, and I can’t wait to hear the full version.

  10. tobutori says:

*gasp* YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!! So excited to listen to it! I’ve been listening to the 2001 version a lot these days. I wanna watch “Innocent Love” too!

  11. sakurablooms13 says:

New vocal? There are no new vocals,it was updated that new vocals were not going to be used….Although there are no new vocals sounds really really nice! Go Hikki!!!!

  12. SwallowTail says:

That’s cool ^o^ getting curious about the full version

  13. red_imitation says:

HAHAHAHA(^o^) OMG No offence people but it sounded exactly the same as the old version to me. What Drama mix??? Where’s the mix? What? More Bassy and R&B sounding?…. Somebody please point out to me what’s the difference?

  14. Nice but why did they make me more curious. ARGH I HATE IT WHEN THEY DO THAT. ><

  15. KremlinDusk says:

i can tell the difference right off the bat. it sounds really good. better than the original.

  16. Nao says:

Love this – the strings section is gorgeous! I can’t wait to hear the full version :D

  17. blackclown says:

aww, sounds like an country song to me lol

  18. chocolateislove says:

sakurablooms: I know they said there wouldn’t be new vocals but it really sounds different. I listened to the original a hundred times, and the vocals during the chorus at least are totally different.

  19. RJ says:

If you check out this video you can hear (more or less) the whole Drama Mix:

Starting from around 1:50. There’s more towards the end of the clip as well.

  20. diegwa says:

wow what a great mix. and that’s awesome that HEART STATION will be featured as another tie-in, hopefully it’ll increase the sales.

  21. kuchikibleach says:

I love the remix – Utada’ voice sounds much stronger in this version. Also, the strings and the bass in the background are much more noticeable, complementing her beautiful voice.

diegwa – I don’t understand when you say that HS will be featured as another tie-in…do you mean that Eternally will increase the sales of HS? Which, IMHO, will probably not happen.

  22. diegwa says:

someone wrote “HEART STATION’s gonna be tied-in w/ the 2009 film”

that’s what I meant, it’ll help boost sales hopefully

but Eternally could possibly help, it’s a long shot, but it could work.
