Teruzane Utada (via @u3music) mentions that talks for Utada’s upcoming 2 date concert series are well under way. A stage mock-up was created a few weeks back, and other concrete plans have begun. This will be the first time that Utada herself will produce a live show, with Mr. Utada assisting as co-producer. Their aim is to create a “warm” show, so don’t expect the high-tech visuals of the Kiriya Kazuaki produced Utada United 2006 Tour.

Finally an update about the concerts! I’m seriously thinking about going for it, even though I’m sure tickets will prolly sell out in minutes. I’m just worried this will be the last we’ll see of her
^Don’t jinx it! I don’t think it’ll be her last, it just may be her final for longer than her more rabid fans are willing to wait; No matter how long this sabbatical lasts, all will be eternally forgiven if she did another worldwide touring venture and new English and Japanese album upon whenever she popped back in; I still want to see her no matter how high-tech or otherwise it is! I know when I saw Stevie Wonder perform it was ‘low-key and intimate audience’ setting but it was still the best concert I’ve ever seen for the music and voice alone (even Janet Jackson and Destiny’s Child whom WERE high-tech and thoroughly choreographed extravaganzas); You don’t mind paying and seeing these things when you the music is going to be that good…
I’m still wondering what those two additional photos and video shoots he was mentioning earlier are going to be about; I’m still hopeful that if this does get a physical release (the ITF tour) that it’ll include some new pics and the two videos will be to two of the new tracks on Disc 2 of the single collection!…
~”No, that team’s new songs to be recorded into a single collection. 4 more songs! Please wait a little longer and publishing
RT @ apollorainbow: @ hikki_staff @ pugglism What next song, what is the love?”~
Dude, I just translated that from Hikki’s EMI staff twitter…are they saying that there will be four more songs on the 2nd disc of the single collection or what?
looks like @thump is sad because after that concert we will no longer see utada because of her break but i’m sure that this is not the final of her career she say it that she will going to return after 3-5 years and she is mature when comes back but from now just enjoy for waiting her single collection and concert … that’s at least we can do as utada fans
I wish I have all the luxury of flying to Japan all the way to the Philippines just for that concert.. I don’t have the feeling that this will be her last concert.. It cant be.. But I like the idea of a “warm” show.. Maybe it would be like UH Unplugged. That’ll be great!
