According to both Utada and Teruzane Utada’s Twitter accounts, footage from this year’s “In The Flesh” Tour will be released in the coming months. It appears that a physical release may be eschewed in favor of a digital-only package, possibly through Apple’s iTunes Store. Mr. Utada notes that there are some technical difficulties with Apple, but that the footage is already edited and mixed. He promises a release by the end of the year.

Sounds good to me! I wonder if it’ll be footage from the New York portion of the concert…it’d be funny to see myself and many of my friends in the clips.
It’d be cool if they meshed footage from all the shows together. They really should include her messing up Boku Wa Kuma as well haha. Well, I was behind a giant pillar in the Boston show so I doubt I’ll be visible.

OMG this is so cool! I had a feeling they were not going to leave a possible release of this concert footage especially since they shot two full performances; I hope they just do both the digital and DVD releases since Itunes is flaky with keeping these things in their inventory and having reasonable technology contracting. I’d really love some new photos and just the Hikki product in physical form since only God knows when she’ll do another concert overseas where more of us can see it. If all else fails, they should just include it as a last-minute added first press bonus to the single collection vol. 2, or seperate bonus DVD edition. That’d be further incentive for the Japanese public to push it to yearly #1 status, especially since Arashi just cleared a million units of “The Scenery I Beheld…”; its pretty much the only other release this year (single or album) that has any seriously viable chance of breaking the million mark, in its first week or otherwise*keep them fingers crossed hikki fans!*…
