Just bought the Mike Rizzo radio edit – glad I did, it’s surprisingly good! I might prefer it to the original, which I don’t like that much. Either way, glad to support her song!

I’m seriously starting to believe that Utada sampled that from some place and it’s not hers.

^Yeah, even someone in the comments section of that video said Utada sampled it from somewhere. I’m pretty sure it’s not hers and now I’m sure I did read that fact somewhere a long while back.
It doesn’t sound quite like Wings (it’s a bit faster and there are some ‘instruments’ in there that aren’t in her song) so odds are she sampled whatever that was and changed it up a tiny bit. Happens all the time. And that’s how we got FYI

How are sales with this one compared to exodus?
TITO reached #2 on the iTunes pop charts and #18 overall (or something like that). That’s definitely better than Exodus. And I think it reached #69 on Billboard as well. Not bad at all.
I also wish there had been another music video/single, but I’m just happy I’m going to see her live in less than a month and a half.

I guess you can. Hopefully DD will break into the Top 40 on the Dance charts and we’ll be able to request her on big stations like Z100.
Is anyone else here losing interest in Utada? It seems like it’s been an entire century since she has released anything beside this disappointment of a single, I was expecting a video also – where is that and what is taking Utada so long to release Show Me Love? I mean, god-damn!

Are you being absolutely serious? TITO came out only half a year ago (and just one year after Heart Station) and she’s currently in rehearsals for a tour starting next month, and you’re complaining that she’s not doing enough for you? That’s absurd. If you’re getting bored, why don’t you go request DD on some radio stations or burn some Utada songs for your friends to spread awareness? Don’t just sit on here complaining about how your greed isn’t being fulfilled.
It’d be nice if IDJ actually promoted her. I doin’t think IDJ even knows what ‘promotion’ is.

to answer your question itsjustwhatever92: let me just say, losing interest in Utada is like losing interest in breathing. and if you’re bored and dissatisfied with her, listen to someone else…there are a gazillion artist out there to occupy your whimpering. when waiting for hikki’s stuff, Patience is a virtue..and it surely pays off. lol she’s not a music making-machine.

I have been occupying myself with Utada Hikaru’s Distance album whilst waiting. I love this album, although I heard this album years ago, I just wanted to listen to Hikaru’s old work and it’s very satisfying.
Just don’t expect from Utada. It’s not her choice for when she wants to release something. Her company gives her deadlines and dates.
yeah distance album is one of my favorite piece of work from Utada as well. i love the song “Sunglass” from it…ooohhh gosh that song gives me shivers…seriously.
@ Hikki Love: I give you kudos for being the only one on here not to attack itsjustwhatever for his/her opinion. That aside, @itsjustwhatever92: I’ve definitely been in your shoes. When you are extremely fond of one particular artist over any other, it’s hard to be patient with them, despite the fact that they might be extremely active in the industry at the moment. It’s a good and bad thing that Utada isn’t like Ayumi or Namie, who pop out singles every time you blink. While obtaining more singles from Utada would be nice, the wait is usually worth whatever she puts out. Obviously her Japanese fans think so too if she sells more units for her ‘original’ CDs combined than either Ayumi Hamasaki or Namie Amuro (not that I am hating on the latter two, I actually love both artists, I just happen to love Utada more haha).

I’m going to be real calm with everyone. It’s not that I’m complaining nor completely forgetting about Utada, it’s just that ‘Show Me Love’ was announced a while ago and I understand she has a tour going on but doesn’t sound a bit unsatisfying to anyone. I guess I’ll pop in most of her albums and listen some of my other favorite asian singers while I have to wait another year.
By the way, I’m giving thanks to Hikki Love and Not Fade Away for not attacking me for my opinion, at least some people aren’t completely rude and bitchy.
^Please evaluate your own tone before you criticize that of others. In your post you act as if Utada Hikaru were your personal music slave and that you expect a new release, PV, performance, blablabla every 2 days. What is taking her so god damn long to release her next single you ask…well…maybe its the process to make it a release of some quality. If you don’t enjoy releases with quality that take time and effort to produce, she really isn’t the artist for you. Please become a misono fan or something. Nobody is “attacking your opinion”…I even agree to some extent that its a long wait…its your crappy attitude that needs some fixing.
I responded in the way I did because everything Utada is doing in the states is solely for her fans: she isn’t going on a tour for her own personal pleasure. We should be thankful that our favorite singer is here at all.
By the way, you keep talking about how long “Show Me Love” is taking – go on the website (the website that has nothing to do with Utada) that announced Goetz was working on a song with her – the announcement isn’t even there anymore, nor is any sign of a so-called “Show Me Love” single. She probably put it on hold so she could put all of her efforts into the tour.
She came out with two albums in the past two years which is much quicker than usual, so even if her promotional efforts for TITO weren’t great, if she wants a break from making music she deserves it.
I’m not one of those fanatics who will defend to the death anything Utada does. But complaining that she isn’t working fast enough just doesn’t make sense.
And I meant what I said about requesting Dirty Desire on radio stations and making mix cds for people who don’t know her yet – channel your impatience in a positive and productive manner.

Show Me Love isn’t even been announced yet. There is no official announcement. It just appeared on Goetz B’s page, and now it has taken over from the page.

Last night I played a bunch of Utada songs for my friends while they were too drunk to do anything about it, and they liked a lot of them (CBTM, MCML-FYI, On and On, Blow My Whistle, Exodus 04). I also showed them the Traveling music video and they were like “wow this is weirder than Gaga” XD
