I loved it! And she’s growing out her hair! :) So cute with the paper bits stuck to her mouth/mic.

I love how much more soul is in Utada’s voice now! Darn.
I wanna see her more then ever now.
COME TO CANADA.
I love the Hair. :D It’s sort of like Exodus/Ultra Blue… I hope she does it like she did with Ultra Blue again. That is my favourite hairstyle of hers.

FiresEmblem added these pithy words on Nov 30 09 at 3:46 pm

Damn, she looks very fresh… And about the performance, I loved it. Darn I feel so bad now I’m missing her in the UK. *asdfghjkl*

Hikki is reborn! Hahaha…I mean we haven’t seen her in so long, it’s nice to just see she’s doing well. And I wonder how long she’ll keep her hair.

I’m so proud of Utada!; Getting up and out and performing suprise acts when she’s probably got an overloaded calendar schedule from now until Mid-February between the international tour and next Japanese singles. This is kind of ironic and humorous simultaneously since I’ve just recently got addicted to Mika’s music (’We Are Golden’ is the new Who’s ‘Our Generation!) and vocals after hearing so much positive underground feedback about him! Makes me all the more jealous of those whom have the windfall of a blessing of attending one of those U.S. venues in 2010…my hopes for an added venue(s) remain unfaltered given the demand the already announced dates have made!

I like her hair grown out too, really like she did between the DEEP RIVER and ULTRA BLUE eras, but the look she sported for HEART STATION’s cover and promotion suited her well since she has been going through some rather significant personal growth into latter adulthood for the last few years. Its cool how she actually grows OUT her hair and styles it however instead of just opting for extensions or weaves like many of her peers, she definitely has the hair growth speed to do it!

guys. tomorrow will be the grammy nomination show. Utada was pre-nominated, by IDJ, in the categories:
Album of the year: This Is The One
Best female pop vocal performance: Come Back To Me
Best pop vocal album: This Is The One

LET’S HOPE FOR HER!

Bernardo added these pithy words on Dec 01 09 at 6:10 pm

^Not even a chance. LOL. IDJ just sends whoever they WANT to be nominated to be on the list. With the level of “popularity” that Hikki’s album has had….I highly doubt she will be nomnated…maybe.00008% chance?

xHeartStation added these pithy words on Dec 01 09 at 6:54 pm

hikki sounds really good in that vid, i’m honestly surprised. her concert tour looks promising to me now…wish i could go to london.

OMG I wish I was there. Hikki, please come to Osaka!

tobutori added these pithy words on Dec 02 09 at 10:18 am

Sounds like it’s pretty easy to get pre-nominated. I think she had a great album, and I would love nothing more than to see her nominated, but the Grammy’s is a popularity contest – you very rarely see someone get nominated who isn’t already wildly successful (in the US, specifically) or pimped out by iTunes to BECOME wildly successful (Adele Adele Adele… *grumbles* stole the Grammy last year from a group of really talented ladies who obviously deserved it over her).

Alex0821 added these pithy words on Dec 02 09 at 10:55 am

um wwat time does the grammy starts

Xcapist added these pithy words on Dec 02 09 at 6:22 pm

The grammys usually are in January/February time frame, it never is the exact same every year, but I typically remember them always being advertised and aired soon after the Super Bowl.
P.S.-I think Adele well-deserved every grammy she received earlier this year personally; It wasn’t a case where a personal life hedonist like Amy Winehouse cleaned the house behind a song about her in denial of self-help or healing (albeit though, ‘Rehab’ was a brilliant song that probably no one else could’ve done better). But Adele’s something different and refreshing, even when compared to the other British crossover female acts (Corinne Bailey Rae, Amy W., Joss Stone, and Natasha Bedingfield) we’ve been showered w/ in the last few years. Since she was in fact the underdog in sales, airplay, and media exposure @ the time of her winning, its artists like her that make me hopeful and open-minded enuff still to see a foreign, boundary-busting chart-topper like Utada win a golden parlophone statuette. We all here know and think she’s got all the talent and class in on the planet to do it someday, it’s just getting everyone else to see and know that. That process still is underway for her and us as her long-term fans…

kinghikari009 added these pithy words on Dec 02 09 at 9:15 pm

I agree, I love Adele. She deserved the Grammy.

FiresEmblem added these pithy words on Dec 02 09 at 9:45 pm

Well, no nominations for Utada so it’s a moot point.
Whatever, I’ll be cheering for my girl Gaga =D And praying Taylor Swift doesn’t get more undeserved awards, or it might have to be me who storms up there and interrupts her.

Alex0821 added these pithy words on Dec 02 09 at 10:49 pm

^Please let’s not stomp all over Taylor Swift’s Success Parade. I respect anyone who doesn’t care for her music or singing voice, but really, she’s a wonderful and humble PERSON who doesn’t get full of herself or ego-trips (UNLIKE the certain individual that interrupted her VMA acceptance speech); Plus, she actually WRITES all her own lyrics and music and doesn’t have a full staff of studio rats doing all her celebrity-living for her. I mean seriously, if an artist can make someone or mainstream audiences as narrow-minded as us about country music listen and love her, that deserves mad props within itself. She’s a great role model too, its not like she’ll always be winning this storm of awards every year of her career, everyone deserves their shot in the sun, including her!

Not TOTALLY 100% sure or not, but, maybe 95%?
The Wonder Girls are performing on So You Think You Can Dance on Dec. 9th.

FiresEmblem added these pithy words on Dec 03 09 at 6:33 pm

^Ok….and this is related to Utada how…..?

xHeartStation added these pithy words on Dec 03 09 at 11:13 pm

I don’t know who the wonder girls are, but unless they’re performing On and On I don’t care ;)

Alex0821 added these pithy words on Dec 04 09 at 1:05 am

lol mika is soo tall and lanky..utada is sooo cute and gorgeous!!!look at that long hair

itaikoon added these pithy words on Dec 04 09 at 9:16 am

The Wonder Girls are a KPop girlgroup who are now trying to gain some success in the US. I hope that is true because I like them. Utada looks great here! She’s getting like Deep River hair again. I wonder what else she’ll do with it for the next album. Should be good! :D

TorotheTIGER added these pithy words on Dec 04 09 at 12:18 pm

@xHeartstation
I don’t mean to offend, hehe. I don’t like the Wonder Girls; never have, and never will.
It’s just a comparison between their promotion and Utada’s. It’s like a race to see which Asian artist is going to break into the american industry first, and unfortunately, it seems the Wonder Girls are in the lead. >: [
It reminds me of that survey, about people choosing the Wonder Girls over Utada.
It appears there was some reason to that after all, what with touring with the Jonas Brothers, and now this.
>: [ Gr. Hopefully with the touring and new single, hopefully Utada’ll gain more recognition. =)

FiresEmblem added these pithy words on Dec 04 09 at 3:58 pm

Uh…robotic mannequins of doom from the land of generic crap pop will never win the US over! *laugh* That’s my two cents on the topic. Not saying anymore.

xHeartStation added these pithy words on Dec 04 09 at 5:41 pm

Taylor Swift is NOT Country Music. If she truly was, she would NOT be this POPular, on POP stations, winning POP Awards and beating POP acts. Thus she’s POP Music. (She doesn’t even have a Country voice…..that Country Twang)

This is why they have a separate Awards Show for Country acts. kanye west would have never gotten a chance to interrupt Taylor Swift if she was truly Country Music because she wouldn’t have been up on stage excepting an award at the freaking VMAs. You wouldn’t catch kanye at the Country Music Awards. That’s where “real” Country Music artists win awards.

Heck, Utada plays the guitar. Let’s start calling her music Country too. So sick of Taylor Swift.

This is all.

InnerRise added these pithy words on Dec 05 09 at 4:48 am

I never understood why they called Taylor Swift’s music “country” anyway. Definitely doesn’t sound country.
