Utada’s Evangelion 2.0 Theme Song Available 6/27?

It will be a new song right? yosh! =)

Yeah, I’m definitely w/ DeAnimator on this one, but I just thank the God that we finally got some significant new reports regarding her; Some of us were starting to suspect she wasn’t even alive anymore as inactive as all her fan and official sites have been w/ updates (lol)! She seems to be going w/ the element of suprise w/ all her releases nowadays, starting w/ CBTM’s radio debut. I just wish we @ least had an official tracklisting and early review of what it sounded like (hope its a double or even triple-A side); Is this the actual 22nd Japanese single she said she was working on, or will we get two new singles this year??? That’d be GREAT…NTM that overdue Utada Hikaru Single Collection VOL. #2 (she already has 14 A-Side tracks ready for it since the last, 15 if you count both versions of FOL)!

I just hope they get back on the ball promoting TITO in the U.S. and elsewhere soon after this, its just too early to call quits on it and there’s still an infinite potential audience it simply hasn’t even been exposed to yet simply for the fault of delayed or unfufilled marketing! That’s what I REALLY want to see spark (her English-International career), I know she’ll always be an iconic success in Japan…

I agree Kinghikari as soon as the single is released she should focus on TITO.

this makes me really excited.. i can alerday feel the BW feel.. heheheh.. in BW/K&C case, K&C went out first.. so would it be like the Evangelion OST then another song? so that it’ll be a Double-A side..? OMG.. i’m really really excited then.. i wonder how Hikki will sound like this time.. since she said that she likes doing something “weird” again! YAY!!!! it’ll be best if it’ll be WEIRD POP! contradicting but sounds tasty.. hehehe…

Yes I was the one that posted fake TITO tracklist. But it because you guys were never satisfied with whatever she done with her english works.
This time I say the truth. I listened REPEAT preview at a restaurant. There was a LCD screen that previewed upcoming JPOP songs. I’m in holiday at Japan right now

By the way, her official site was not always the first.
We got the US tracklist of TITO in amazon. We heard MCML-FYI first at Music Station. We first noticed Apple And Cinnamon or Come Back To Me not in her official site

I don’t believe them. Didn’t we hear something about ‘9 year old memories’? I don’t think ‘Repeat’ or ‘Endless Jouney’, though they are awesome names, have ANYTHING to do with that.

^I don’t know how valid or invalid such a report is, but REPEAT/Endless Journey does sound like a Utada single title (or a working one if nothing else)…hopefully there will be an eventual physical release for it unlike Eternally-Drama Mix-, I think it could actually perform better since there was no way to download and pirate any tracks prior to its proper release! I’m very excited to see and hear where her music/lyrical style will go from here, but I’m still concerened @ the neglect and “plug-that-was-pulled” under TITO, I really hope they (her management and IDJ inclusive) haven’t thrown in the towel, they just really haven’t given they’re all yet.
Oh P.S., everyone, I bought DEEP RIVER and DISTANCE @ A-kon 20 last month, meaning that my Utada album collection is 100% complete aside from Precious and HEART STATION (the latter I have on my Ipod anyway)…they still sound amazing after all these years!

Firstly, I don’t think a Japanese newspaper would have the full tracklist of the new single, and a preview played in a restaurant and yet this hasn’t been around on the internet apart from one person claiming to have seen both of these on a web blog.

Also, what defines a Utada Hikaru song title…? if you ask me REPEAT and Endless Journey could be Ayumi Hamasaki, BoA, Koda Kumi and whatever J-Pop singer as well as Utada Hikaru; to me, it sounds like some randomer has just come up with a J-Pop sounding title to plant a hoax. Everybody stop getting worked up and just wait for official news, it’s gonna be here in 5 days.

I’m not all that sure he completely made up the titles himself.

You see, Yuna Ito came out with a Single containing the songs, “Endless Story” and “Journey”.

All this attention whore did was REPEAT said titles and combine them. And you can see how “REPEAT” applies and where it came from. A kind of inside joke although it doesn’t seem to be playing out how he intended this go around. No one will ever take him seriously again.

And if the songs are called “REPEAT” and “Endless Journey” i would be rolling in my pants! but they don’t sound like Utada song names..they’re just to bland…name like those are common.so of coarse they’re likely to be fake…it all makes sense.and if the names of the songs were out already, Utada would have written a blog entry about it too..right? or am i wrong?People just like to play hoax games for attention and it goes way too much in our heads…lol.(apparently the comments in this entry are all about kontolgede’s “little trick”)blah give me a break..lets wait for the song..

Hi! I’ve been a secret reader of this awesome blog for years. Anyway, I have this news that I can’t wait to share with you guys so I decide to become a registered member.
Just to let you know, I’m from Thailand. While I was driving to my university today, FYI was played on the radio!!! The DJ said that it’s the current single and commented that the song is her personal favorite. I’m not sure if it’s the same for other countries since this might be the sole decision from Utada’s label in Thailand (Universal Music Thailand). CBTM was phenomenally popular here, might be her most successful song since Automatic, so it makes more sense if her Thailand’s label decided independently of releasing FYI. Some songs that get airplay here aren’t released worldwide like The Killers’ Losing Touch and Duffy’s Delayed Devotion, so I don’t really know what to expect for the next single in the states. However, I’m just glad with this good sign showing that TITO promotion still continues.

Many songs in southeastern asia got an airplays without being singles. It’s common here to request an album track in a radio. If the song booms they call it single or hit single even it is not released as an actual single.

The next single should be On and On but she must release MCML-FYI as her 3rd single sometime in the winter.

I don’t know why so many people love A&C because it sounds like it took her 5 minutes to write the lyrics for that song.
I’m also starting to believe that without a preview or song title yet that it may be that the theme song is Fly me to the Moon(I hope I’m wrong because that would totally suck). Which begs the question then: What the heck has she been doing in Japan the last 3 months if she wasn’t recording new Japanese songs or promoting TITO?
I would not be at all shocked to find that she is pregnant and got married already. If that’s the case then I just hope it’s a girl. Baby Hikaru

OMG they’re really keeping this news under wraps, I guess we’ll all be suprised when they finally do announce it. (hopefully that’ll be the day of the movie release, I think the waiting and suspense is fun)

Utada isn’t only wrote her song if she got an order for tie-ins. Even the “new” theme song for Evangelion 2.0 is Fly Me To The Moon, I’m sure she will release another single around this time since she said that a couple month ago she recording her next single.

As much as I hate the title Parallel Or Together, I have to admit it sounds real enough. It’s random enough to be real, it certainly sounds Utada enough……guess we’ll just wait & see for the ~risk~. I just hope it’s good.

I just hope the theme won’t be Fly to the Moon. But I was looking at the Evangelion 1.0 soundtrack and Fly me to the Moon is already on it so it wouldn’t make sense to re-use it, right? I saw the Evangelion 2.0 soundtrack for pre-order at CDjapan, but no track list is given unfortunately.

I can’t wait!

There’s no need to jump to any hasty conclusions about the song just yet. RJ said over at hikaru.sc it should be released around noon in Japan, so later on today in North America, that is.

The remix possibility is still unknown, so before I make a fool out of myself and pitch a fit I’m still hanging onto the glittering light of hope that is “Parallel Or Together.”
I really hope it’s not a remix, if it’s true, then that should have gone on the single some two years ago, but I’m not going to get ahead of myself here.
