UPDATE: MORA’s official blog says that the song will be available for download on June 27th.
According to Japan’s MORA downloading service website, Utada’s as-yet untitled theme song for the upcoming Evangelion 2.0 film will be unveiled on Saturday, June 27th. There are no details, but with the film itself being released on the 27th, it seems logical that radio airplay and mobile/PC downloads would begin on that date. No word yet on a physical release. Credit goes to kita-san.
Youtube or Imeem doesn’t work for me so I hope I can preview the song. Maybe if someone puts it up for download?

Since she has a new song being released today and Michael Jackson died, I’m waiting for a new blog post from her today, since she’s a MJ fan and she posted when ZARD died.

I’m hoping for a better title for the song and I am expecting a blog post for Michael Jackson as well.

Alright. Today’s the day. Now’s the time. According to Google it’s now 1 AM in Tokyo. That means the movie is officially “released” which means Utada’s song is officially released. Bring on the leaks and radio rips!

There’s no need to jump to any hasty conclusions about the song just yet. RJ said over at hikaru.sc it should be released around noon in Japan, so later on today in North America, that is.

Also I don’t see the need to worry about Hikki’s well being, lots of artist take short breaks without any activity, you can’t expect to know where she is and what she’s doing 24/7.

I really hope it’s not a remix, if it’s true, then that should have gone on the single some two years ago, but I’m not going to get ahead of myself here.

well Parallel Or Together? was a rumor no different than REPEAT and Endless Journey.
U.blog posted both tweets.
Planitb Acoustic Remix is about as credible as “Parallel Or Together” though due to the lack of anything at all to back it up.
However, it sounds just crappy and horrible enough to be true.

It’s gonna be a new song, all that you are hearing up to this point are people just hoaxing Ublog for fun.
That doesn’t necessarily mean that the single she was recording is going to be this. I certainly hope so, but it’s still inconclusive.

Isn’t this whole rebuilding of Evangelion big business over there? Reusing the same Theme Song? Who does that?
Well many have been skeptical of a big disappointment including me so it wouldn’t be all that of a surprise considering how quiet it’s been with no previews/promotional commercials/planned Single release, but if I am disappointed it won’t lessen my suicidal urges anymore than if I was caught completely off guard and we’ve had enough deaths recently.
Well Utada did remix Fly Me Too The Moon for Evangelion and had her main song Beautiful World in the actual film.
So maybe a main song and the Beautiful World remix?
