A friend told me that today. They are pretty much set from there, I guess you can say. I DON’T, however, want Utada to ever stoop to that level. Utada radio touring is fine… and performances on shows, are even better. It’s just that she has stopped promoting recently, is why the sales aren’t as high as we thought they should be. They are great nonetheless, considering. BoA, I think, has been promoted much worse than we think Utada has been.

Actually, don’t think BoA’s been promoted that bad. A WHOLE bunch of kids I know have Eat You Up and I Did It For Love, and are interested in who she is. Now, they don’t know that she has an album out, but its definitely a step above Utada from what I can see.
The Jonas Brothers time is dwindling though. The excuse they use is that they’re trying to branch out from Disney and its image. Although their new Disney show can’t possibly help in that department. I don’t know to what extent their fame is decreasing but yeah.
Do you people think that the reason there are so many gaps in between Utada’s releases because of her peritonsillitis, which we now know she’s had for years now at least twice a year? I’ve been thinking about that.
you really have to compare the labels that BoA and Utada have. Utada is with Island which is huge and BoA is with an independent label so to me it seems that BoA’s label is doing what it can do with what they have but Utada is with a major label so you would expect her to have more promotion than what shes had.
I have many questionable doubts arising from this interview (according to other people who had read it because .pdf files don’t work on my comp). First off, I don’t even think that Disney NOR Squeenix has announced Kingdom Hearts 3 officially. So, Utada probably isn’t in a position to be talking about it so openly, even if it is about the Theme song. Too early to call for that.

I just can’t imagine a KH serie without her songs. And… why the hell disney would’nt pay her rights?Money is not the answer.
On every album Utada has, her first singles has always been the best.
So this next Japanese single and coupling track she is making, I think it will be great.

but wasn’t isney the ones who invited her. square’s produccer, Nomura, is a BIG fan of her. So he invited Utada to sing the theme song. Some people say that disney didn’t participate too much in the creation of KH. weird :~~~~
They didn’t. Squeenix did everything besides copyright and promotion, really. Nomura invited Hikki in since he was such a big fan. Disney doesn’t really do much but say no to everything Nomura wants to do with the series lol.
Where in the world is Utada? The longer she takes to resume promo for TITO the faster it will fail. And there are a lot of people routing for her to fail.

She’s doing too much. She should just focus on one thing. Though I understand she’s probably recording a japanese single to please the Japanese fans but as soon as she’s done she needs to resume promo for TITO.

When he said that Disney doesn’t pay, all he meant was that they don’t want to pay as much as he think that they should. Not that they weren’t going to pay Utada at all. That’d be ridiculous. Even the Cheetah Girls get paid. The Cheetah Girls. Hahahaha. Just makes me laugh.

Coming back to the US promo, it’s time to her resume it. I agree she must to focus on it now. It’s weird how she posted one month about her sickness and we don’t have any news yet.
And about the Eva theme song, I think they’ll release it digitally only, since the movie is out in 2 weeks and there’s no one word about it.
I wish Utada would just come back out here and take the U.S by storm….but my hopes are starting to dim…especially when the latest news about her…..is really about Ken Hirai….
Ahhhh.where is my dear Hikaru? i am surely missing her presence online. But i hope she is getting better and comes to speak out and tell us how she’s doing. all in all i just have to be patient until she comes back and promotes her stuff.
Aw, xHeartStation, don’t give up hope! We have at least 2 more singles before we can even consider ‘This Is The One’ a flop. Which it will not be if the correct decisions are made. 16 000 copies have already been sold, and only one single released, and it’s already off the charts. The other singles shall surely boost the sales. =D

“At the Grammy Awards, Duffy was greeted by Japanese-American singer Utada Hikaru, who she recalls “had a black bob and was a very sweet-looking girl!”
