    I loved that interview.
    Interviewer: “WHO’DJA CHEAT ON?”
    LOL

  8. poopoo says:

This interview is very funny. If she continues this throughout the radio stations, she’s on for some very good promotion!
She’s very charming and her down-to-earth nature comes across well in this.

  9. FinalThrottle says:

OMG FINALLY, I’VE BEEN REQUESTING THE SONG ON THERE FOR DAYS AND KUBE 93. 106.1 KISS FM is HUGE in Seattle, my friends and the school listen to the station a lot!

  10. Ghostdog says:

I don’t know how she is able to remain so humble and down to earth.
This is just another reminder why I love her so much.

  11. Bluesheep02 says:

I’m going to get front row floor tickets if she goes on tour :)

  12. VC03 says:

I love her reaction to being one of the biggest stars in the universe. “In all of the galaxies…”

  13. FanFan86 says:

She is so humble and funny…. Utada seems to be so normal given all the success she has.
I wonder what Lady Gaga did?

  14. OMG that interview was amazing; It’s so shocking to see how many U.S.-native people really have been and still are longtime/lifetime fans and been watching her every move w/ promoting and releasing TITO! I’m suprised her Japanese site didn’t post up a list of all the radio stations she’d be touring, but I guess her and the management are just taking it day-by-day, like she said…She’s so adorable and humble, no wonder she’s so beloved by so many; I know the album’s going to blow up big here and we’ll get a international tour, I just know it now. Hope u can come eventually 2 the Tom Joyner Morning Show on 94.5 KSoul, #1 station in Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex–WOHOO! That B fan was a mess, and funny w/ the D.J.’s!; I wish I was him those 15-30 mins. on the air! Finally, I’m glad she views the album as doing well in Japan, and now I do 2, it had little promotion but it’ll still end up probably being the best-selling international album there for the year. Post up all the other podcasts and clips from her U.S. Radio tour, I wanna hear and possibly download them all! Keep Up the Hard Work, Hikki!; This is gonna pay some big dividends come May 12…!

Great interview, it’s really exciting. I hope she follows this wave of support and praise (even from non-fans, it seems).

  17. LexKitty says:

Today?! Where in Portland is she going? Does it at least say what radio station to listen to?

  18. madkool says:

omg seriously, what station is she doing in Portland? I want to tune in! I’m bummed I have finals/didn’t know she was coming to Portland because I totally would’ve tried to go see her ._.

  20. MarUtada says:

omg THIS WAS GREAT, i was jumping of my seat, omg, i almost cried. I WANT TO MEET UTADA SO BAD, that guy was so lucky, OMG, WHY DON’T YOU COME TO TEXAS, hikki, i love you so muccccchhhhh.

  21. aaron says:

She is so humble, isn’t she? So, I love her.

I accidentally found Utada’s audio interview at the Seattle FM site when I was surfing around FM radio stations’ sites. :) When I saw Utada’s name on the top page, I was like “OMG!!, I have to let you know about her interview at first.”
You might find her audio interviews at Portland, Reno, SF, LA or Sacramento’s radio station web sites. :)

  22. chocolateislove says:

    And so it begins….

I really hope she comes to D.C. The people in Seattle seem really nice, but I feel like the D.C. people would be a bit more cynical.

  23. Xcapist says:

    she say SACRAMENTO???!

  24. Xcapist says:

im tuning in! wat time tho??

  25. FiresEmblem says:

Actually, here in Canada, a ton of people know Utada. : D It’s uncanny.
Apparently KISS FM is a really famous radio station… Time to listen!

  26. itakepills says:

gahhhh if only she gets interviewed or even requested on new york radio… I would cut school just to see her or meet her at some radio station but sf is WAY to far. New york somewhere would be nice.
I read a really good article today. it talks about asians not making it in america. I realized today if Utada can’t make it based on her voice, her promotion or etc. There is one thing that is obvious it’s obvious with all asians. We don’t have an established type of “asian american or asian music” that is mainstream.
african american have r&b rap, hip-hop
latins have dancy music, salsa, reggaeton, in general spanish music is exotic.
white people have pop in all forms, rock, heavy metal yadda yadda.
asians we have no “asian music” we don’t have our own identity of music or identity.
there is an image and identity for every culture now image is not always a good thing but our identity is important to establish ourselves and I think we need that.
Utada sings great and is great. If she doesn’t make it it’s something us Asians all have to work on to establish our own identity.

  27. RJ says:

The 6′2″ 300lbs black man on the outside / 12 year old Japanese girl on the inside comment was pretty much perfect haha. “I like that. I like that in a man.”

  28. FiresEmblem says:

Ahaha,Exactly, RJ, Utada is hilarious, and “down to earth” as the people who put in text messages said. This was an amazing interview! Keep up with the radio interviews, I’d sure like to hear Utada with Ryan Seachrest.

  29. ruruna says:

*cries* I’m only 4 hours away from Seattle… had I known!

… Oh well, at least it sounded like she may be getting more convinced about her fan base being big enough to warrant a tour. And I think Seattle would be included in it, so… yat-ta!

  30. strawb3rry17 says:

what time is she going to be in LA with that seacrest guy??? I’m totally going to tune in tomorrow all day!

  31. kongo89 says:

Finally, a good radio interview! She sounds so fun and relaxed; this made my day.

  32. itakepills says:

wow when are the other radio interviews coming out?

  33. sakurablooms13 says:

What a lovely interview,OOOHHH Does anyone know what radio station she’ll be in Sacramento I have to know.

  34. MarUtada says:

HEY CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!??? I was looking for the video of the interview, cause they said they were filming this, but i can’t find it, or my computer won’t let me see it, can someone please upload on youtube, or tell me where i might find it, will appreciate it. ^_^

  35. vmoriyama says:

    Utada is awesome. Wonderful interview!!!

  38. dancingsabre says:

OMG she was in Portland today and I missed it!!! Anyone know what station? I loved the Seattle interview too!

  39. itaikoon says:

IF ONLY I COULD MEET HER IN PERSON..shes such a fun and amazing person anybody can talk to, yet you still feel comfortable like you’re having a conversation with an average normal person.i like when she said “oh like walking around with a Chihuahua kinda thing?” then the host asked if she had one..of coarse Utada said no! but then i thought, “she does have a bear in her hand kinda thing!”..Kuma Chang!(lol..i crack myself up sometimes). and then there’s the fact that Utada is such a success, but gets surprised at how popular she is across the universe(in terms of her fan base)..also the fan who came in asking for a tour…i hope she really does do concerts across America..it would be my first concert I’d go to!So..good job hikki….that interview was great and i cant wait to hear more!so you better get ready America cuz Utada is coming to blow your minds!!!AWW.and poor Lady Gaga..she is probably another bubblegum popstar who you wouldn’t feel comfortable talking to(the massive stardom for her probably has gotten to her head..and is affecting her too much)…o well…such is life…

  40. Amaterasu says:

    This was extremely amusing.

  41. Fannboyie says:

    love love the interview!!! <33333333333
