Confirmed: Sephora Store Events w/ Utada
UPDATE 2: The Florida event has been moved to the South Beach Miami Sephora location.
UPDATE: Sephora has created Facebook event listings for all 3 city locations (LA, New York, Miami)
Sephora has confirmed Utada’s upcoming in store events at 3 of their US locations. Utada will be appearing at the Los Angeles store (Hollywood and Highland) on March 24th, New York City store (5th Ave.) on March 25th, and Miami (Aventura) store on March 27th.

I called the NYC store, I live in NYC luckily <3 and the guy said no appointment is necessary. They aren’t taking any. I even asked if he was sure and he said 100%, despite what it says on the website.

Even on Utadanet, people are saying the same thing, including the NY store. I think the booking message is the default message they use for all their events, most of which are makeup events. Cause essentially, it doesn’t make sense to “book an appointment” for a listening party, does it? Haha. But yeah, let me know what happens.

But not even my mom has brought this place and she’s the Queen of Shopaholics in the Beauty Products catergory 4 sure! I wouldn’t so much mind stepping in there, I’ve been in Bath & Body Works several times which is similar in some ways; But, I don’t know, Utada is of course a good reason to have to step inside just about anywhere ‘embarrassing’, but other people would likely get the wrong idea if you we’re a guy standing in there by yourself for a long enuff time. I have no prejudices for homosexuality, mind all of you, but I definitely don’t want to put myself in scenarios where that comes into deep questioning. I guess it doesn’t matter really in the bigger scheme, because if she DOES in fact come in2 one within an hour-drive radius of where I’m @, I wouldn’t miss it for the world:)!

If you’re looking for face wash and after shave that’s on a higher end than what they sell at Target, check it out. They are generous with samples and return policies too – just ask! But the overall point is, who cares what others think?! It’s a store LOL and you’re there to meet Utada and I’m sure it’ll be packed!
It would be great if she signs something – posters or something. I wonder what that “special gift” they’re gonna give out? Samples?
Who wants to go as ‘Easy Breezy’ Drag Queen Utada? I’m sure we’ll all have a good laugh, and Utada will talk about the make-up IDJ forced her to wear, and demonstrate how to get her ’simple and clean’ natural look now. Then we’ll all join in a vogue-off and lip synch contest to “Dirty Desire” and “Poppin’.” Utada will judge and say, “Keep it PG-13, everyone! I don’t want to see your cooch hanging out!” For an encore, we’ll step out on Hollywood Blvd and do “The Workout” on exercise mats. We’ll make the news for causing traffic to stop for 3 hours, and we’ll crowd around Utada chanting “THIS IS THE ONE! THIS IS THE ONE!” and all the media coverage will cause the album to hit #1 on iTunes. The Physical copy will then be rushed in stores the following week, and seeing the enthusiasm, Sephora will sponsor her nationwide tour while creating a “THIS IS THE ONE… for you” make-up line. Denny’s will put Utada’s “Apple and Cinnamon pie” on their Late-Night bands on tour Menu.
When Utada leaves the Sephora store and waves from her car, we’ll all stand around singing “Come baaaaack… come baaaack!” and the entire “Come Back To Me”. This will cause a radio explosion! Everyone walking around is gonna be like “What is that catchy song?!” so they keep requesting it at radio stations asking for it. Radio stations will be like, “We have to play that song now! People are getting mad.” In two weeks, “Come Back To Me” goes Top 10!
