According to a new Barks Japan article, Utada’s “Eternally -Drama Mix-” was the most requested song on Japan’s USEN radio for the week ending November 19th. In addition, sales of the drama mix has topped 500,000 downloads, while the original “Eternally” (off of the 2001 album “Distance”) has now exceeded 150,000 purchases.

According to a new Bark’s Japan article, Utada’s “HEART STATION,” released this March, was the #1 most rented album of 2008 at the 1,357 Tsutaya stores nationwide. Rounding out the top 3 were Kobukuro (”5296″) and GReeeeN (”Aa, doumo. Ohisashiburidesu.”) Congratulations to Utada.

Oricon has revealed this year’s Favorite Artist selected by 20,000 readers, and Utada comes in at #1 again this year, making this her 2nd consecutive #1 and 3rd time at the top of the list (2004, 2007, 2008). #2 goes to Kobukuro, followed by Aiko at #3, Mr. Children at #4, and Dreams Come True [...]

Utada attended a special presentation of a Nakamura Kanzaburo kabuki play last night in the Asakusa area of Tokyo. According to reports, Utada attended the show with actor/friend Karasawa Toshiaki.
