Mark your calendars: According to a new Hot Express article, Utada’s “Stay Gold” will begin airing on Japanese radio beginning January 7th, 2008, just a few short weeks away. No word on when we will get our first listen of “HEART STATION,” the other A-side on Utada’s much anticipated new single, on sale February 20th, [...]

Utada has updated her blog, indicating that today (Christmas Eve) will consist of a full day of photoshoots, including artist shots as well as imagery and material for an unspecified commercial. Hopefully we’ll get some official news updates soon.

Musicman has released their AM/FM radio on air chart for 2007, and Utada ranks in at #1 and #9 on the domestic chart with “Flavor Of Life” and “Beautiful World,” respectively, and #5 on the combined domestic/international chart with “Flavor Of Life.” Check out the link for the rest of Japan’s big hits from 2007.

The rankings continue to roll in; this time from the ever popular iTunes Japan. Utada ranks in with 4 songs in the top 15, 2 of which make it into the top 3 most downloaded songs of 2007.
“Flavor Of Life” comes in at #1, followed by “Beautiful World” at #3, “Flavor Of Life -Ballad Version-” [...]

Boding well for the upcoming release of “HEART STATION/Stay Gold,” Utada’s ASIENCE CM song has debuted at #1 on Recochoku’s Chaku-Uta ringtone charts, quite a feat for a song that has yet to get a major promotional push. Hopefully it will continue to gain traction as the physical release date approaches.
