Oricon Sales 12/13: “Utada Hikaru Single Collection Vol. 2″

Exciting news for fans outside of Japan: Utada’s upcoming “WILD LIFE” concert will be streamed live around the world through USTREAM. Utada’s official website announced the plans today, which allow fans anywhere around the world to experience her performance. The live stream begins Wednesday, December 8th at 5AM EST. PC users (700kbps) can use this link, while iPhone/iPad users (300kbps) can use this. For fans using Twitter, using the hashtag “#UH_WL” will import your tweet to the USTREAM “WILD LIFE” pages.

Pepsi Japan today announced that new commercials featuring Utada’s “Can’t Wait ‘Til Christmas” will begin airing in Japan on December 4th. This is the 2nd time that a song by Utada will be used for a Pepsi NEX commercial. Check out several screencaps here.

EMI Japan today announced that Utada’s “Arashi no Megami,” off her soon to be released “Single Collection Vol. 2,” will be used in Morinaga Chocolate’s “1 Choco for 1 Smile” campaign. This campaign reflects Morinaga’s efforts to support the children who live in the areas where the cacao is produced. Morinaga will be donating 1 yen per box of chocolates purchased during the Valentine’s season (01/01/11 through 02/14/2011), and EMI will be matching that by donating 1 yen per every download of Utada’s “Arashi no Megami” between the dates of November 24th, 2010 and February 14th, 2011. Learn more about the campaign here.

Utada’s official site has been updated with news that her upcoming “WILD LIFE” concert will be airing in HD on Japan’s SKYPerfecTV on January 22nd, 2011. For those who miss the initial broadcast, SpaceShowerTV will be re-airing the show sometime in February. Additionally, SKYPerfecTV is giving away 500 pairs of tickets to the upcoming “WILD LIFE” shows, to be held on December 8th and 9th. Check out the details here.

Utada’s official Japanese website has been updated with news that the December 8th “WILD LIFE” concert will be screened live in movie theaters across Japan. The show will be live broadcast in 64 locations on 69 screens for a total of up to 20,000 viewers, making this the largest screening of its kind in Japan. Tickets will be 3,000 yen, and will be available for purchase beginning on November 21st. Exciting news for those in Japan who were unable to get tickets to the live concert.

According to the mobile version of EMI Japan’s website, Utada’s “Show Me Love (Not A Dream)” will be used as the theme song to the upcoming Yamashita Tomohisa (NEWS) film, “Ashita no Joe.” The movie is based off of a popular boxing manga, and is set to be released on February 11th, 2011. According to EMI Japan, Recochoku Chaku-Uta and Chaku-Uta full downloads will begin in a few hours, at 5AM Japan time on the 17th. Other Chaku-Uta and PC downloads will begin on the 24th of November, the release date of Utada’s “Single Collection Vol. 2.”

EMI Japan has just posted the full music video for Utada’s “Goodbye Happiness” on a new YouTube channel. Check it out here! Thoughts?

According to SpaceShowerTV, the upcoming music video for “Goodbye Happiness” is directed by none other than Utada herself. The video is set to air on Tuesday, November 9th. Stay tuned.

Utada’s official website has been updated this morning with news that all pre-orders placed before November 14th will receive a bonus DVD featuring the music video for lead single “Goodbye Happiness.” If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, make sure you do so in the next few weeks!

UPDATE: Looks like YesAsia will NOT be receiving shipments of the bonus DVD, but CDJapan will in fact be including the “Goodbye Happiness” DVD on “Single Collection Vol. 2″ orders. Click here to  preorder through CDJapan.

Utada’s official Japanese website has been updated with news that “Goodbye Happiness” will begin radio airplay in Japan next Monday, November 1st. Chaku-Uta downloads will begin on November 3rd. No word on when PC/iTunes downloads will be available.
